AVIATION INDUSTRY INQUIRY – RELEASE OF THE DRAFT REPORT
The Independent Consumer and Competition Commission (‘ICCC’) wishes to inform key aviation industry participants, relevant stakeholders and the general public on the release of the Draft Report (‘Draft Report’) in relation to its inquiry into the aviation Industry of Papua New Guinea (‘Inquiry’).
An Issues Paper was released in June seeking comments on 24 key issues relating to the industry. After taking into consideration stakeholder submissions on the issues raised including subsequent one-on-one consultations with key stakeholders, benchmarking analysis and review of publicly accessible information, the ICCC has formulated the Draft Report.
The Draft Report provides a comprehensive review of the aviation sector and the ICCC’s key findings and interim recommendations.
The ICCC now invites key industry participants, interested stakeholders and the general public to provide comments and views (in the form of a submission) on the Draft Report. The ICCC also encourages stakeholders to provide any additional information that they deem necessary to inform this Inquiry.
Please note that all submissions must be submitted to the ICCC by 21st January 2026 to the following address:
Mr. Jack Timi
Associate Commissioner – Resident
Independent Consumer and Competition Commission
P.O. Box 6394
BOROKO

Electronic copies of the Draft Report can be obtained from the ICCC’s website at www.iccc.gov.pg.
Any further queries on the Draft Report can be directed to Mrs. Stella Mirisa Kora on telephone 312 4600 or via email on skora@iccc.gov.pg.
